AEASE in Southampton

Southampton

Where AEASE began. A proper port city with medieval walls, a lively waterfront and the New Forest next door.

Overview

Why we love Southampton

Southampton doesn't shout about itself, but it should. It's a working port city with two thousand years of history — Roman, Saxon, medieval — and some of the most complete medieval town walls in England. The Mayflower sailed from here, the Titanic left from here, and today the docks welcome some of the biggest cruise ships in the world. Add a lively waterfront, two universities, a proper football club and the New Forest just across the water, and you've got a city that rewards anyone who stays a little longer than they planned.

Whether you're catching a cruise, working at the port or the hospital, visiting students, or using the city as a base for the New Forest and the Isle of Wight, Southampton makes life easy. Trains reach London Waterloo in around 80 minutes, the airport is a short hop away, and our homes give you the space, kitchen and quiet that a hotel room rarely does.
