Travelling with family is easier with a plan. This is our favourite day out in and around York — something for every age, plenty of space and no shortage of things to do.
Pack snacks, wear layers and leave time for an ice cream on the way back.
Then head home to a proper living space, a kitchen and room to spread out.
Our tip
Book tickets online in school holidays to skip the queues.
